The Good

  • Long-lasting wearI love glamnetics! I think the last set I had from them I got about 9–10 days out of it using the glue. (6 upvotes)
  • Strong adhesionI used Glamnetic glue ons for a wedding last year and literally couldn’t get them off. Ended up trimming them short and they eventually popped off one by one 7–10 days later. (7 upvotes)
  • Special occasion-readyI actually used Glamnetic press ons for my own wedding and no one could tell. (24 upvotes)
  • Flattering fitThe ma-damn were the first French tips that ever looked right in my hands. (5 upvotes)
  • Brand loyaltyGlamnetic is GOAT imho. They look great! (5 upvotes)

The Not So Good

  • Limited designsI do wish they had some more designs or more colors that I want (browns). (6 upvotes)
  • Removal difficultyI used Glamnetic glue ons for a wedding last year and literally couldn’t get them off. (7 upvotes)
  • Occasional liftingI’m wearing this exact set from glamnetic right now! It sucks when one pops off and you have to pull out the nail glue and fix it in public. (6 upvotes)

Alternatives

  • KissGlamnetic brand are SO TOUGH they will last me 2 weeks!! Kiss brand will pop off my nails in a day or two. (6 upvotes)
  • Olive and JuneI like Olive and June because you can soak them off (glamnetic you can also) with hot soapy water. (5 upvotes)
  • Budget optionsI got a huge pack off Aliexpress. I’m a BWT, but I’m also kinda cheap. (13 upvotes)
  • Indie brandsMy friends and I are huge fans of the Winnipeg-based Fingernails Are Pretty! (5 upvotes)

Tips & Tricks

Application

  • Shower, then buff, then alcohol pad, put them on and go to sleep. By next day they’ll be on solid. (7 upvotes)
  • I like to do them before bed so the glue cures overnight — minimize water on nails or doing much with them! (28 upvotes)
  • If you’re not buffing your nails and painting on a dehydrator before application, this is probably part of the issue. (49 upvotes)
  • More glue, less pressure. I use the brush-on glue and much prefer that to the tube. (5 upvotes)
  • Don’t let the nail touch your skin or cuticle. If it doesn’t fit exactly, go too small, not too big. (7 upvotes)

Removal

  • I use the Glamnetic remover. I don’t find that it ruins the nails but ymmv. (6 upvotes)
  • Soaking in warm water with some oil for 10–15 mins — nails come off nicely this way. (20 upvotes)
  • Cuticle oillll, it takes anything off. (7 upvotes)
  • A floss pick is gentler than any cuticle pusher. (5 upvotes)

The Verdict

Glamnetic press-ons earn praise for durability, strong adhesion, and event-ready styles, with many users getting 1–2 weeks of wear – far outperforming cheaper brands like Kiss for some. The brush-on glue is a standout for application ease and staying power. However, removal can be tricky, with some risk of nail damage if not done carefully.
